Photography in the Mountains: Part 1

So I'm on day 1 of my little photography excursion (ok it's really a vacation).
So far no good! It's beautiful here but there isn't a whole lot to shoot. I tried earlier to do a video review. I wanted to do a head to head comparison of film and digital. It could have been great because I have a canon film camera to pair with my 5d mark II but I couldn't find anything with an appropriate variety of color, tone and texture to really show the differences between the 2 media. Now I'm trying to write this blog post on my iPad and I spend as much time hitting the backspace key as I do typing actual letters. The typing experience on iPad is freaking horrible. If you plan to use ipad for word processing you'd better forget it. Oddly enough I type faster, and more accurately on my iPhone. Ok moving on...

I still plan on doing at least 2 videos from here but I have to come up with better topic ideas because there is literally almost nothing around me to shoot. Maybe that's the real test of a photographer's talent; whether or not he can find a good shot when there isn't really a shot to get. Hmmm...maybe some portraiture, that's an idea.

Ok that's all for now. Be sure to frequent my site. Be cool

Tech and humanity

We use to be able to mingle. Now we IM. We use to hang out. Now we "Facebook". We use to call home. Now we email. Don't get me wrong, I love tech. Bit you have to wonder how much we have lost as a result of the digital age. Where have we gone? Where do we not go? Who have we become? What have we become? Our kids don't know how to socialize. They can't read body language. Adults have developped porn addictions. They have become internet predators. What the hell is happening with humanity?
